As one of the smallest cities in San Bernardino County, Grand Terrace boasts the highest median income in the region second only to Rancho Cucamonga. Our residents are also the most highly educated with nearly 25% having a Bachelor's degree or higher. Nearly 90% of our residents have a high school degree, a Bachelor's degree and or some college classes.
Grand Terrace earned the designation from
Money Magazine as "Top 100 Best Places to Live in America for Small Towns". Over 3,000 small towns across American were considered for the award. Grand Terrace's high points for economic opportunity, family friendliness, home affordibility and a sense of community won over the judges.
Safety is a main concern today for families considering re-location. Not only is our crime rate year after year the among lowest among both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, we rank in the top three safest cities in both counties with a total population of over 3 million (Canyon Lake and Yucaipa rank 1 and 2).
Good infrastructure should be a consideration when locating a business or moving into a community. The City has an excellent arterial road improvement program and neighborhood roads along with sidewalk repairs remain a top priority with the Community Development Department. We encourage you to drive our streets and look at our recent beautification efforts, new parks, improved streets and sidewalks---and if you notice anything that needs addressing, please fill out our
Citizen's Request Form.
