RECREATIONAL VEHICLES/UTILITY TRAILERS

The Code Enforcement received complaints from residents concerning both motorized, non-motorized vehicles, and trailers parking for long periods of time on the city streets and the safety/visual impact they have on a neighborhood

The City of Grand Terrace adopted the Recreational Vehicle/Utility Trailer ordinance in May, 2004. The purpose of the ordinance was to increase visibility and safety for all motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclist in addition to preserving the beauty of each neighborhood. Parking on city streets and storage of RV/Utility Trailers on residential properties is defined in the Grand Terrace Municipal Code.

The Code Enforcement Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department issue citations for all RV/Utility Trailer parking violations on City Streets. The Code Enforcement Department responds to complaints regarding RV/Utility Trailer parking/storage issues on residential properties.
